Too often, we think evangelism means having all the right answers or being able to win debates about faith. But Philip's approach reminds us that our role isn't to convince people about Jesus - it's to introduce them to Jesus. We don't need to be perfect theologians; we just need to be willing bridges that connect others to Christ.

Think about your own faith journey. What drew you to Jesus wasn't likely a compelling argument or perfect theology. It was probably an encounter - a moment when you experienced His love, grace, or presence in a way that changed everything. That's what Philip offered Nathanael: not answers, but an experience.

This approach takes pressure off us and puts the responsibility where it belongs - with Jesus. We don't have to change hearts; that's His job. We just need to create opportunities for people to meet Him. Sometimes the most powerful thing we can say to someone struggling with faith is simply, 'Come and see for yourself.'
